“Forsaking all others…”

When we say “forsaking all others,” we are making a promise to prioritize our commitment above all else. This vow signifies a deep sense of loyalty and faithfulness. In marriage, it means that we choose our partner above anyone else. But this concept can also be applied to our relationship with God and our commitment to our faith. (James 4:4)

To go all in means to fully commit ourselves, but that commitment often comes with sacrifice. Sacrifice can be defined as giving up something valued for the sake of something else considered more important. In our journey of faith and relationships, we often have to let go of certain comforts, habits, or even relationships that hinder our growth.

While sacrifice can be difficult, it often leads to incredible rewards. When we go all in, we create space for new opportunities, growth, and deeper connections. (Matthew 19:29), This promise encourages us that our sacrifices are never in vain.
