The Gate — J Calaway — Make Today Count
'The abundant life requires relentless commitment, not to comfort, but to calling.'
Let’s be honest—comfort is alluring, isn’t it? But as followers of Christ, we’re not called to a life of ease; we’re called to a life of purpose. Abundance isn’t about cozying up in the soft cushions of comfort; it’s about stepping into the challenging and beautiful work God has entrusted to you.
Comfort says, *'Take it easy. Avoid risk. Stay where it’s safe.'* Calling, on the other hand, says, *'Rise up. Take a step of faith. Be bold in the mission I’ve given you.'*
Following Jesus isn’t always comfortable—it often requires sacrifice. (Luke 9:23)
But here’s the beauty: as we pursue His calling, we experience a depth of joy and abundance that comfort could never offer.
